Bringing hope to those who hurt…

MILLICENT, born on the 30th December 1985, is an Aberdeen-based soul singer, songwriter and blogger.

MILLICENT is known for her work with local charities and live performances at various social events in and around Aberdeen. She was one of the main acts at the 2014 and 2015 ‘Courage on the Catwalk’ events organised by The Friends of Anchor to raise funds for cancer treatment and research.

Her music is inspired by her gospel background, and the works of legendary soul singers such as Whitney Houston, Dionne Warwick, Patti LaBelle, Corinne Bailey Rae, and Sade. With a voice described as incredibly versatile, she transitions effortlessly from a striking high pitch to deep resonating sounds bringing a depth of feeling to every performance. Her songs address social issues such as depression, addiction, love, self-discovery, acceptance and human interaction in a straight-from-the-heart yet enjoyable way.

MILLICENT released her debut EP, ‘Voyage’ in January 2017, her debut single ‘How Come’, was released in November 2016. She is currently working on a full-length album which will be released in the near future.
